This year’s Collaborative Journalism Summit will again be conducted fully online — you’ll just need a device and Internet access to participate. You’ll be treated to three half-days of lightning talks, workshops and participatory discussions about a wide array of #collaborativej topics and projects.

The Summit will kick off on Wednesday, May 19 and wrap up Friday, May 21, 2021. Sessions will be hosted each day from 1 p.m. EST until 5 p.m. EST.

The event will feature three jam-packed half-days of discussions about collaborative journalism, including such participants as the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, the Local Media Association and the Solutions Journalism Network.

Note that we’re NOT kidding when we say “jam-packed” – the Summit is designed to be a fast-paced event that’s full to the brim.

Thanks to feedback from the collaborative journalism community and advice from Open News, we’ve restructured our ticket costs this year. When you register, you’ll find three options — Blue, Yellow and Green. Please choose the option that best fits you and your organization’s financial situation.

We also have no-cost scholarship tickets available to ensure ticket price is not a barrier for participation. If you need one, just let us know by emailing [email protected].

Also new this year: The Center has updated its Summit Code of Conduct and Care policies and revised them as part of a new Commitments pledge. Our commitments are driven by our focus on improving the inclusivity of the Summit and diversity of its speakers and participants. We require all Summit attendees to review our commitments and policies during registration; you can read them at collaborativejournalism.org/commitments.
